Oh yes.

Story is a game I invented. I like playing it in my head, because the technology required to make such a game isn't going to exist until about 1000 years in the future. It's so fun, I can play for hours. In my own mind.
EDIT: Since tons of people are asking how to play... you start out with a world of barren desert, then you can imagine anything you want. For example, you can create forests or mountains or waterfalls, even people and creatures. You are limited only by your imagination. As you go along imagining, a story is created. You could also play "scenario" where there are a set of rules, and your "creation power" is limited. And of course, the multiplayer version where you can imagine with your buddies! Basically, it's all just a bunch of imagination, but I like to think of it as a video game with really advanced technology.

I think not. The graphics would have to be 3d and highly detailed, the AI powerful enough to understand naturual-language commands, and to create individual people and animals!
