Sometimes people tell me I'm good at drawing, but compared to the amazing artists on DA, I still have lots to learn! :D
I always try my best to improve by studying and practicing. Already by making a conscious decision to improve, I'm producing
a lot of creative stuff I wouldn't have been able to make earlier!

Right now I want to be proficient in all these areas:
:bulletred: Human figures, anatomy, proportions
:bulletorange: Posing, dynamic posing
:bulletyellow: Urban backgrounds, perspective techniques
:bulletgreen: Nature backgrounds and landscapes
:bulletblue: Digital painting, realistic lighting
:bulletpurple: Animal anatomy, perspective
:bulletpink: Realistic expressions

Whew! That's a lot to learn, but I'm trying my best. ;) Is there anything else I should know in order to improve as an artist?
Please link me to helpful tutorials, I could not have improved without the countless number of epic tutorials found on DA! :icongrin--plz:
  • Mood: Optimism
  • Listening to: Owl City
  • Reading: The Outsiders
  • Eating: Chocolate macadamia nuts :D
  • Drinking: Sparking cranberry cider
This person, after lots and lots of importuning, finally joined DA! Woot! Please ignore his lack of artistic ability and go spam him with pageviews ---> ~Nightwolf-14

Weebly is the best thing ever! EVER! I now have my own website which looks extremely professional and totally free! Ha, I feel like an spammy advertiser person now. Even though the only purpose of my website is to link readers to my deviantART gallery... [link]
CLOSED! :meow:
Oh god I'm going to regret this :|
So I'm bored and I would like people to request me to draw things!
Like a proper silly idiot, I'll draw the ones I feel like drawing. :meow:
Use common sense and don't ask me to draw scary/perverted/pony things. :stare:
The other day I found a soda machine literally made out of sparkles and magic. It was a touchscreen soda machine! With about 60 flavors! :iconfeelingfreeplz:
You will not believe the complete and utter stupidity that happened today. A speaker came into my religious education class and started talking about demons. Saying that they were fallen angels and that they would possess you. "Demons don't like crosses. Wearing a cross that is blessed will keep demons away from you." That's so stupid! That is a primitive and superstitious way of thinking! It's how they thought back then! Why would people even believe that crap in the modern age? The worst part is that all the students in the class believed it. I can't believe the stupidity and ignorance of people.
It's probably religion altogether that causes ignorance. I'm very glad that in this modern age, people aren't blinded by superstition and religion...

Ahem. Rant complete.
Now I can start drawing digitally in Photoshop instead of drawing on paper and scanning! It's a Wacom Bamboo Create, which is pretty awesome. It's really hard to get used to though. Does anyone have any tips for getting used to drawing with a pen tablet and using it with Photoshop?
Hello! Not that anyone cares at all, but I finally have broadband internet service. After 4 years. Of. DIAL-UP. So yes, I am very pleased. :meow:
Did you ever think that a good poem could be written about Germans throwing mangoes at tax collectors? I didn't think so, until the ever-talented ~fullofenergy wrote this amazing poem: Tax CollectorsIn a foreign country,
everything is weird.
Where I come from,
government is feared.

I don't know
how it came to mind,
to throw mangoes
to pass the time.

The Germans weren't happy
because of stolen loot,
so the tax collectors
got hit by fruit.

This seriously has to be the best poem I've ever read. She can really turn any random topic into great poetry! Be sure to visit her gallery and read the rest of her works! :D
As I was getting some ice from the freezer, I started thinking...
There are lots of ice cubes in there. Most of them have spent their entire lives in the icebox, waiting for someone to bring them out. Wait. What if some of them don't want to leave their frigid home? What if they feel comfortable where they have spent their lives? Of course, there will be some who believe that life starts once you are dispensed into a glass of cold drink. That the thrill of the outside makes up for the short death afterwards. What if they argue and fight about these opposing viewpoints? They might have started a war, dividing families, forcing alliances, all over whether the outside should be looked forward to or avoided. But...what the heck. I'm thinking about ice cubes...
I'm on a quest for bread!
You can buy strange things online.
Oh yes.
Like a
Ghost in a jar
Hamster-powered motorcar
Dormouse urn,
And wolf urine.
Battle tank,
And a sample of uranium.
You can get a human soul,
A piece of land on the south pole (or the moon)
And even someone to stand in line for you!
But never could I find
The most beautiful item of all…
A Pillow Made of Bread.

Hello all you lovely deviants. While I was being forced to listen to a reading of a religious text, I thought about bread. Bread is a beautiful thing, and quite tasty as well. (French bread especially) And while I went on my musings of this fine foodstuff, I wondered if I could find...A Pillow Made of Bread. Once upon a time, long ago, my naive self believed that you could buy absolutely anything online. And truly, you can purchase many strange and exotic things on the World Wide Web. However, nothing is complete without a pillow of bread. Bread, bread! And I couldn't find any pillows made of bread. So I'm turning to you, DeviantART, and task you with the goal of finding me a pillow made of bread.

Please, just tell me where I can get a pillow made of bread.
So, yesterday, I was bored to the point of insanity. I really felt as if the world had been reduced to a mere spattering of dried tears and heavy clouds, leaving my only chance of escaping stranded on a cherry-sparkle island away on the seas of driftwood. Of course, there was always the option of sampling the melted waxen crayons. They came in all flavors and shapes. Once, I found a burnt sienna color dripping off the side of a melancholy notebook. Flattened into obscurity, I could hardly help believing that there were more colors and selections awaiting me in the bright, damp afternoon.

And then things started getting a little strange. To a backdrop of light, broken chords of metal, a shining rift opened in the gray, gloomy clouds above. A ray of brilliant and warm light pierced through the ends of my frayed-rope mind. A whale, made of sunshine and wishes, sailed past the stars to confront a unicorn. A clash of supernovas alerted me to the presence of a gleaming mote in the darkness. The view widened into an entire universe, disco lights and feathers alight against a backdrop of velvet honey-sweet black.

I wanted to cry at the beauty and absurdity of it all. How grand this would be in a ten-star production. Although, I certainly did have more reason to cry. A burning wave of nostalgia swept through and filled my mind with desperate swirling truth. What could be more real than this? What could be more artificial than what was empty, what could be more false? A snap of a threshold turned me back, slowly into the dream, a silver web spun by magnificent doves encircling the threads of existence.

But then again, you don't have to believe me. :)
So, I had a dream in which I traveled to my past, and talked to my old friends.

If you could travel back in time and see yourself when you were young, what advice would you give them?

If you could travel to the future, and see your future self, what questions would you ask them?
Do you think doing this could result in a time paradox, screwing up the very fabric of the universe?

Bleep!

...because I have absolutely nothing better to say.
I had a dream. This is what happened:

"This is what I have to put up with." His voice was desperately sad, close to tears, and a little angry as he showed me the prison-cell room. The floor, walls, and ceiling were made of bare concrete. Dust covered the cracked walls, and the floor was filthy. Faint tally marks drawn in yellow chalk could be seen on one wall. He flopped down on one of the beds in the corner. I laid down next to him and whispered, afraid, "And you really have to sleep here?" He nodded pitifully. "Sometimes," he rasped. Then he started crying. I held his hand and moved closer. Tears fell from my eyes too. "I love you," I murmured, as quietly as a summer breeze. He looked at me. "Thank you," he said.

In the dream, (not in real life, thank goodness) his dad is abusive, and sometimes locks him in the room.
If any of you who know me personally dare to show this to him, I will die, come back to life, haunt you, and kill you. Rawr.

Nooooooo!!!!!
